    Sustainability at its best. The material from which the lamps are made we call Eco-mix. It consists of recycled paper, water, chalk powder and natural glue.

    The lamps are handmade by local artisans in India with techniques that have been passed on for generations.

    An environmentally friendly material made from self-developed mixture of natural and recycled components, joined together to create a sustainable alternative to other casting materials such as ceramics or metal.

    Because these products are handmade, each lamp becomes unique. There may therefore be variation in size.

    • The GRS is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions.

      The objectives of the GRS are to define requirements to ensure accurate content claims and good working conditions, and that harmful environmental and chemical impacts are minimised.
